As some of you already know we make our living by selling books online. We buy at thrift stores, library sales, charity book sales, yard sales, etc. and sell on ebay and amazon. Of course we come across amazing books at great prices, and we have grown to love and appreciate all sorts of books. I would like to start sharing some of my favorite books with you each week. If I can ever get typepad figured out properly I'd like to post links on my sidebar to my all time favorites and where you can buy them yourself. For now I'm going to just introduce you to my favorites as I have the time.
We love to collect vintage childrens books. I love how the language is more challenging in older books. The illustrations are more detailed and vivid, usually printed from color plates or woodcuts.
Here is one of our family's favorite storybooks. It's a beautiful over sized hardcover called Chinese Fairy Tales, a Splendor book from 1958. The illustrations are simply stunning throughout. I have only been able to find one other copy on the net so if you have to add this enchanting storybook to your collection you can find it here
